CPEs would like to thank Evernote for such a successful hackathon last weekend. We nearly had a full house of developers, entrepreneurs, and graphic designers spend over 24 hours straight designing many novel uses of the Evernote API. You can learn about the winning teams and the prizes they received on HackerLeague. Here are some pictures from the event.
We would like to update everyone on the Evernote Hackathon we announced previously. We will have positions for developers, designers, publicity and entrepreneurs. The venue is set for the Bonderson Engineering Building on the Cal Poly campus and the event lasts from Friday, February 15th to Saturday evening. We will be serving food several times throughout the event, and registration is free. To get more information and sign up for the Hackathon, please see the Evenbrite page and the Hacker League post. Sign up soon to save your place!

CPEs is excited to host the 2012 Cal Poly Mobile Hack-a-thon from 7pm Friday, June 1st to 7pm Saturday June 2nd. This will be a competition to design and program an innovative mobile application either for a particular mobile operating system like Android iOS, Windows Mobile, or in the HTML5 standard. Meals will be provided throughout the event, and the entries will be judged by a panel of Cal Poly professors and industry members. Several cash prizes will be awarded to the winners, and all participating entrants who pitch an app idea and implement it will be entered into raffles for awesome prizes.
To participate, you must register ahead of time on the event’s Eventbrite page. The hack-a-thon is currently scheduled to take place in the Computer Science building, 14-149. Register soon to guarantee a space in the competition! On Saturday night after the final judging, business and art students interested in developing the Hack-a-thon projects further in the form of a start-up or senior project will be available to network with and discuss possibilities.
